Some Little Silver Biz Still Open Monday

For some, Monday was business-as-usual in downtown Little Silver.

You won't be able to satisfy your hankering for pizza at Olivia's, which is closed Monday, but Gianni's should be open for business through dinnertime. You can still stock up on storm essentials like beer and wine at the Little Silver Bottle Shop, which is open until 4 p.m. Monday, according to owner Bill Kenney.

Lou Cardace, a manager over at the Wells Fargo on Prospect Avenue, said the bank would probably close late morning and Kim DiGeorge at the Little Silver Post Office said they were closing up the office and delivery at 10:30 a.m. Monday and was waiting to hear whether they would open Tuesday.

The group of all-male customers at Grandma's Bagels at around 9:30 a.m. chatted while they waited for their orders.
