Victor F. Rosa, Vietnam War Veteran, Dies At 65

Services for longtime Oceanport resident, Fort Monmouth electrical technician will be held on Monday and Tuesday.

Victor Francis Rosa, age 65 of Oceanport, died Thursday, November 5, 2015 at home. He was an electrical technician at Fort Monmouth for 42 years retiring in 2010. He served our country honorably during the Vietnam War. Born in Honolulu, he had lived Long Branch before moving to Oceanport 42 years ago.

Victor was predeceased by his parents, Gordon B.P. Rosa, Sr. and Edith Rosa; and his brother, Gordon B.P. Rosa, Jr. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Valerie Laurie (Ercolano) Rosa; his son, Joshua Hall and his wife Joann; two daughters, Jessica Hall and her fiancé Thomas Fallon, Mary Jo Wangerien and her husband David; his brother, Michael Rosa, and three grandchildren, Jake, Jessica and Jenna.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the service to begin at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
