Utility work on Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch will cause major traffic delays on weekdays through July 20.
The West Long Branch Police are asking motorists to avoid the area and plan alternate routes until the construction ends each day around 5 p.m. Construction will begin around 8 a.m. on weekday mornings

The construction is causing heavy traffic southbound on Monmouth Road from Wall Street to Palmer/West Palmer Avenue.
Police encourage drivers traveling to Long Branch to use Wall Street to Norwood Avenue and Whalepond Road to Park Ave if going to Ocean Township or Deal.

The construction began yesterday and caused the closure of Cedar Avenue from Monmouth Road to Larchwood Avenue.
