The fireworks are slated to begin at dusk, or approximately 9 p.m., so residents should bring their towels or lawn chairs to the lake, so they can sit back and enjoy the show.

Last year's fireworks were funded by donations from Monmouth University, West Long Branch PBA Local 141 and other local businesses.

This year, the borough is paying for the fireworks, so no donations were needed.

The crowd is sure to be larger this year as the Kaboom fireworks in Red Bank have been cancelled this year. Residents can also travel to nearby Long Branch to view the fireworks near Pier Village.
