Houlihan's In Eatontown Closes Its Doors For Good

The restaurant's last day came on Valentine's Day

EATONTOWN, NJ - Houlihan's, the popular restaurant on Route 35, is no more

It closed its doors on Valentine's Day, according to a report in the Asbury Park Press.

Mayor Dennis J. Connelly said Paramount Realty purchased the Houlihan's building, the property and its liquor license. So far, no plans have been announced as to its plans for the land or building.

The Route 35 restaurant closed on Thursday. The restaurant has been a fixture in Eatontown since 2007. Houlihan's restaurants in Holmdel and Brick, also operated by Saddle Brook-based A.C.E. Restaurant Group, will remain open.

"With a heavy heart, we have closed the Eatontown Houlihan's as of today, 2/15," according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page. "Thank you ALL for your support over the years. But let's not end things just yet.... tell us your some of your best Eatontown Houlihan's memories and we might just have a little sumthin' sumthin' go your way."

All of the Eatontown managers and employees have been offered opportunities to transfer to one of the company's 17 restaurants, including Holmdel, Brick, New Brunswick and Woodbridge.

Houlihan's coupons and gift cards will be honored at all New Jersey and New York Houlihan's restaurants, even if they are expired.
