Long Branch Police Report Standoff Situation In Atlantic Avenue Area
Avoid Edwards, Rockwell and Liberty roadways.

Long Branch police are asking drivers to stay away from the Atlantic Avenue area, including Edwards and Rockwell avenues and Liberty Street until further notice due to an "active law enforcement" situation, according to the Monmouth County Police, Fire and EMS Facebook page.
"There is no additional information at this time, more information to be made available later as the situation permits," according to the post.
But nj.com is reporting police have blocked off a section of Ludlow Street. A woman who lives in the home said a man showed up at her house two days ago looking for a room to rent. When she heard him yelling Wednesday morning, she called police.
