VIDEO: Tinton Falls Bamboo Fire Threatens ‘Several’ Homes

The Monday night fire spread with exposure to several residences in the area, fire officials said. Watch footage from the fire below:

TINTON FALLS, NJ - Firefighters from Tinton Falls battled a rapidly spreading bamboo fire Monday night that threatened several residences in the area, fire officials said.

The Little Silver Fire Department was dispatched to a bamboo fire at around 10 p.m., according to a statement from the Tinton Falls Fire Company.

At the scene, a box alarm notification was requested due to the “proximity of exposures,” fire officials said. Mutual aid units from Sea Bright Fire Department, Tinton Falls Fire Company #1, Wayside Fire Company, Northside Engine Company, Red Bank Fire Department, and Shrewsbury Fire Department also helped at the scene.

“Working together with members from surrounding agencies, the fire was brought under control,” the Wayside Fire Company said.
