2 Assault Teen In Long Valley Road Rage Incident: PD
Police said the driver of the car was under the influence when he allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old during a road range incident.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Two Ledgewood residents were arrested following a road rage incident that ended in the assault of a teenager, Washington Township police said.
Todd Cole, 56, and Elizabeth Jacobus, 48, both of Ledgewood, were arrested following a Saturday afternoon altercation in the Target parking lot, police said. The pair were driving together when they got into a "road rage incident" with another car on Route 46 in Mount Olive.
The incident came to a boiling point when both cars pulled into the Target parking lot. At that point, police say Cole got out of his car and began punching the passenger of the other car, a 16-year-old boy. Police say Jacobus got out of the car and began assaulting the teen as well.

Police say the driver of the other car, who police identified as Joao Costa, was also assaulted by Jacobus and Cole.
When police described on scene, they said both Cole and the teen were "covered in blood throughout their bodies."

The teen was taken to Hackettstown Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries; Costa refused medical attention.
Cole and Jacobus were arrested and taken to police headquarters. Jacobus was charged with simple assault and released with a pending municipal court date. Cole was charged with simple assault, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, and was also released with a pending municipal court date.
