319 Cars Pass through DWI Checkpoint In Washington Township Over Weekend
Law enforcement agents made four criminal arrests during planned DWI checkpoint on Saturday night.

After setting up a planned Driving While Intoxicated on Route 46 in Washington Township this past weekend, law enforcement agents were able to check 319 random vehicles.
The planned checkpoint began on Saturday evening, at 9 PM and ran approximately 4 hours, until 1 AM. Among the 319 vehicles, agents found reason to issue tickets to the drivers of 8 of them. In addition, officers made four criminal arrests and one arrest for Driving While Intoxicated, to a 28-year-old from Rancho Cordova, CA. All arrested individuals were later released after being transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters
The checkpoint in Washington Township was manned by law enforcement agents from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Washington Township Police Department. The Washington Township checkpoint was an organized event authorized by a grant, The County DWI Enforcement Grant, the Prosecutor’s Office received from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
