4 Charged After Year-Long Burglary Investigation In Long Valley

The investigation has been ongoing since the summer of 2024, authorities said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Four people have been charged in connection with a residential burglary from more than a year ago, police announced.

According to the Washington Township Police Department, the charges stem from a residential burglary in Long Valley in the summer of 2024.

Officials said that the suspects stole an American Express check from the home and deposited it into their bank accounts. After more than a year of “multiple subpoenas and follow-ups on numerous leads,” four New York suspects were identified.

The suspects are a 41-year-old man from Fresh Meadows, NY; a 25-year-old man from Richmond Hill, NY; a 48-year-old woman from Monticello, NY; and a 32-year-old man from Kiamesha, NY. Police have not announced the names of the accused.

All four suspects have been charged with receiving stolen property and theft.
