Assault, DWI Reported In Long Valley: Police Blotter
Washington Township Police released the blotter for the past few weeks.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — In recent weeks, Long Valley has seen several drunk driving incidents, along with an assault involving a weapon.
The following details were gathered from Washington Township Police Department records.
On Nov. 27 at 10:57 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Schooley's Mountain Rd after noticing it was being driven erratically. During the stop, they determined that the driver, a 27-year-old man from Hackettstown, was intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, along with several other motor vehicle violations.

The driver was released pending a court appearance.
At 12:07 a.m. on Nov. 30, officers stopped a vehicle on Schooley's Mountain Rd after noticing it was being driven erratically. They determined the driver, a 57-year-old man from Mansfield, was intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, along with various other motor vehicle violations.

On Dec. 2 at 7:15 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Naughright Rd after noticing it was swerving out of its lane. The driver, a 29-year-old woman from Long Valley, was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with DWI, along with several other motor vehicle violations.
At 12:50 a.m. on Dec. 8, officers stopped a vehicle on Schooley's Mountain Rd. During the stop, they determined the driver, a 57-year-old man from Hackettstown, was intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, along with various other motor vehicle offenses.
On Dec. 12, officers and detectives responded to a report of an assault involving a weapon on Drakestown Rd. The investigation led to the arrest of a 51-year-old man from Blairstown, who was charged with assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was processed and released pending court, police said.
On Dec. 16 at 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft in progress on Schooley's Mountain Rd. They located the involved vehicle and arrested a 54-year-old man from Maryland and a 38-year-old man from New York. Both were charged with burglary and theft and were taken to the Morris County jail pending court.
