Driver In Motorcycle Crash Was Drunk: WTPD

Police say no one was injured in the single-car crash.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” A man who crashed his motorcycle on Saturday was drunk at the time of the crash, Washington Township police said.

Robert Barnett, 47, of Long Valley, was riding his motorcycle on Schooley's Mountain Road near Cataract Park around 3 a.m. on Saturday when the crash happened, police say. Responding officers say Barnett smelled like alcohol, and after an investigation, Barnett was arrested.

At police headquarters, Barnett was issued motor vehicle complaints for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to keep right. He was released to a responsible adult with an upcoming court date in municipal court.
