Drugs Found On Long Valley Fugitive Following Traffic Stop, Police Say
The suspect had active warrants in two different counties, according to police.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley man, with warrants out for his arrest, was arrested this week after he was found to be in possession of heroin, according to police.
Andrew A. Brown, 35, was arrested in Mt. Olive this week after a traffic stop revealed warrants out for his arrest, as well as heroin in his possession, authorities said.
On Monday, just before 11:30 p.m., a Mount Olive police officer noticed a Toyota Sienna traveling west on Route 46 “fail to keep right and fail to maintain its lane of travel,” according to a police blotter.

The officer pulled the car over and found Brown in the back seat.
Police ran Brown’s name and found him to have two active warrants in Morris County and Sussex County, officials said.

When ordered out of the car and searched, police found “wax folds of suspected heroin” and a “rolled dollar bill containing suspected heroin residue” on Brown’s person, according to authorities.
Brown is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
He was turned over to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office on the respective warrant.
