HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A charging cell phone caught on fire in Hackettstown Medical Center last week, the Hackettstown Police Department said.
The cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy, was plugged into a charging tower around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday when it caught fire and melted to the tower, police said. The fire caused a smoke condition on the third floor of the hospital.
