Hit-And-Run Ends In DWI Charges In Long Valley

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a local pub, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A person has been arrested after crashing into parked cars and taking off, according to police.

Recently, Washington Township police responded to the Long Valley Brewpub on Fairmount Road on a hit-and-run call.

Police said that witnesses saw a white SUV enter the pub’s parking lot, hit two parked cars, and drive off towards Tewksbury Township.

Police searched for the suspect and soon found the white SUV had stalled on the side of Fairmount Road.

An investigation revealed that the driver, a 33-year-old Flanders resident, had been drinking before getting behind the wheel, police said.

The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated, processed, and released to a family member. They await court proceedings.
