Jail Time For Man That Killed Brothers In Drunk Crash: MCPO
The Dover man pleaded guilty to several charges stemming from a drunk crash that killed two of his brothers, officials said.
DOVER, NJ β A Dover man that killed two of his brothers in a drunk driving crash was sentenced to ten years in state prison, Morris County Prosecutor Fredrick M. Knapp said.
Santos Javier Archaga-Mendoza, 37, was sentenced on Friday for the Sept. 2017 crash. He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless vehicular homicide and assault by auto, as well as driving under the influence.
The single-car crash happened at the intersection of Route 15 and Route 46 in Dover during the early morning hours of Sept. 24, 2017. Archaga-Mendoza was driving a car with four passengers when he crashed, killing his two brothers and injuring a third passenger. He was drunk at the time of the crash, Knapp said.

Archaga-Mendoza will not be eligible for parole on his ten-year sentence under the No Early Release Act, Knapp said.
The group was leaving a birthday party at a nightclub when the crash happened, the Daily Record said. Archaga-Mendoza originally told investigators his foot got stuck under the gas pedal when he was trying to turn, and lost control of the truck.
