'Jolly Jamboree' Brings Santa Claus And Holiday Cheer To Long Valley
Mark your calendars: Santa Claus' sleigh is making a pit stop in Long Valley this weekend.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — In the lead up to the holiday season, Long Valley is hosting their third annual "Jolly Jamboree" this weekend.
The family-friendly event will provide all residents with a fun-filled afternoon of festivities, including a special visit from Santa Claus.
The holiday festivities will kick off on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. at the Rock Spring Park Pavilion with some Christmas caroling. Santa Claus will be available at the Senior Center between the hours of 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. for all local children to deliver their Christmas letters to the man himself and pose for photos.

During the evening, kids are invited to hop on a hay ride courtesy of Ort Farms, officials said.
The results of the DIY Cardboard and Holiday Decorating Contest will also be announced after the festivities, according to the event organizers.

A cozy bonfire will help warm up the evening as all families are invited to snack on s'mores, hot chocolate and other treats.
This Saturday, local veterans who are eternally resting in cemeteries throughout the Long Valley area will be honored once again during the annual Wreaths Across America event. The special ceremony is planned for 12 p.m. at St Mark the Evangelist RC Church, which is located at 59 Spring Lane.
"This Saturday we should rename long valley 'Christmastown' as we have events all-day, all-over town. I hope everyone will join me around town Saturday as we celebrate Christmas all day," Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello said.
