Long Valley Among The Best In New Jersey, Morris County: Niche

LONG VALLEY, NJ — New rankings put Long Valley among some of the best places to live in New Jersey and in Morris County, according to the 2023 Niche "Best Places" rankings.

The platform released the 2023 Best Places to Live in America list last month, along with rankings by state. Read about their methodology here.

According to Niche, Long Valley ranks as the 3,012th best place to raise a family in America, which doesn't sound like much, but considering it's out of 17,899, that puts it pretty high.

Niche says it's also one of the top places to live in the country.

On the neighborhood ranking website, there are a variety of subcategories within states and counties, including things like best public schools, best for families, and more. Niche gave Washington Township an "A" rating in "Best Places for Outdoor Activities in Morris County."

There are several parks in Washington Township, including county and state parks. They range from Hacklebarney State Park, which has hiking and hunting opportunities, to Schooley's Mountain County Park, which has athletic fields, a picnic area, and a lake.

According to Niche, Long Valley has some of the best public schools in the state, ranking 124th out of 573. Long Valley is also considered one of the most diverse places to live within Morris County, coming in at number 11.
