Long Valley Fire Department Assists With Chester Blaze
The structure fire took down an entire garage, according to officials.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Members of the Fairmount Fire Company No.1 of Long Valley recently lent a hand to help extinguish a structure fire in Chester.
On Tuesday morning, around 7:30 a.m., first responders were dispatched to a residential structure fire. According to emergency response scanners, the structure was in the area of Lewis Lane in Chester.
Upon arrival, firefighters noticed that a detached garage on the property had been completely engulfed in flames and had collapsed.

Responders were able to extinguish the flames safely, according to officials.
Officials from the Chester Volunteer Fire Company did not report any casualties in their statement.

Fairmount Fire Company No.1 of Long Valley utilized its tankers to assist with the extinguishing of the fire.
Also assisting the Chester fire officials were Ralston Engine Company No.1, Randolph Township Fire Department 4th Battalion Ironia, and Brookside Engine Company 1.
