Man Had Loaded Gun During Long Valley Traffic Stop: PD

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A pair from Philadelphia were arrested following a traffic stop that turned up a loaded gun, Washington Township police said.

Blayne Davis-Chisholm, 24, and Denaydra Cheatham, 23, were pulled over on Route 46 on Monday for a traffic violation, police said. During the stop, police say they smelled marijuana.

A search of the car found marijuana and a loaded 9mm gun in the passenger seat glove box, police said.

The two were arrested and taken to police headquarters. Cheatham was charged with possession of marijuana; she was released with an upcoming court date. Davis-Chisholm was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, and taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
