Police Caution Long Valley Residents To Lock Cars, Take Keys
A currently unidentified man broke into an unlocked car on Ryan Court and the Washington Township Police Department is investigating.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β The Washington Township Police Department is asking anyone with information related to a man entering an unlocked car in town this past Wednesday, to please contact them.
According to a news release from the police department, a person who the department described as βan unknown black male wearing black clothing and a black mask,β was captured on surveillance just before noon on Ryan Court getting into someoneβs car in their driveway.

Lt. Mark Niemynski, a spokesperson for the department, said the BMW was unlocked and after the man departed the car, he left in what appeared on camera to be a white Chrysler 300.
The police department is urging that residents keep their cars locked up and to take out any valuables, as well as keys or key fobs.

Residents should call the police department, Niemynski added, if they witness suspicious activity of any type in town or with information on the Nov. 3 incident, at 908-876-3232.
