On Monday at approximately 12:27 PM, a Washington Police Department patrolman responded to the Target Store on Route 46 for a shoplifting complaint. When he arrived, he spoke with the Target Loss and Preventionteam and discovered that an alleged shoplifter, a 53-year-old man from Mt. Olive, had been taken into custody. The individual had been taken into custody by the Target Loss and Prevention team for the alleged theft of coffee from Starbucks. The Washington Police Dept. patrolman took the alleged shoplifter to Police Headquarters and issued a Criminal Complaint for Shoplifting; he later released the suspect and gave him a mandatory court appearance in Washington Township Municipal Court.Image via Washington Township Police Department, used with permission.
