Capogrosso Ruggiero Waskis Hold Lead In Washington Twp BOE Race

UPDATED NOV. 4, 2021, 6:36 P.M.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” In the Washington Township Board of Education contested race on Thursday evening, Carmine Capogrosso, Cynthia Field Ruggiero and Rob A. Waskis continued to hold the lead over JosΓ© LourenΓ§o and Walter Curioni for three-year seats, according to unofficial results.

On Tuesday night, Capogrosso had 2,428, LorenΓ§o had 1,957, Ruggiero 2,885, Curioni 2,144 and Waskis 2,146, with 483 write-in votes.

On Wednesday morning, Capogrosso had 2,820, LorenΓ§o 2,309, Ruggiero 3,299, Curioni 2,473 and Waskis 2,499.

On Wednesday evening, Capogrosso had 2,986, LorenΓ§o 2,435, Ruggiero 3,510, Curioni 2,653, Waskis 2,707 and there were 649 write-in votes.

The results of this race will be official once the Morris County Clerk's Office certifies it, after all mail-in ballots and early votes are tallied.
