Washington Township Is Combatting Stress With 'Yoga For Osteoporosis'

Classes will be held at the Washington Township Community Center on select dates this spring.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Increased mindfulness and improved posture are just a few of the benefits yoga offers its practitioners. Washington Township Recreation's new "Yoga for Osteoporosis" class goes a step further: promoting increased bone strength and density.

The class will be open to everyone, and is designed to help students improve their coordination, increase strength, and develop habits to correct posture.

"Yoga for Osteoporosis" will be a 10-week session, with classes held at the Washington Township Community Center on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., beginning April 15 until June 24.
