How To Recycle Your Pumpkins In Madison Borough
Residents can put their pumpkins to good use now that pumpkin season is over by participating in Madison's Pumpkin Recycling Program.

MADISON, NJ — As we finish the last pumpkin pie baking of the year and the official pumpkin season comes to an end, Madison residents are invited to recycle their pumpkins this holiday season.
All residents are invited to bring their pumpkins to the DPW located on John Avenue in Madison, Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The initiative was originally made in collaboration with the Madison Environmental Commission and the Department of Public Works.

No painted or varnished pumpkins can be recycled, but all decayed or moldy pumpkins can be recycled and composted for fertilizer.
Recycled pumpkin can be used as food for farm animals, and compost for fields, making it a great zero waste decoration item for the fall holidays.
