Madison Area YMCA Names New President & CEO
Diane Mann coming from Oakland, Calif., to take over for retiring Barry Kroll.

The Madison Area YMCA has announced the Diane Mann will take over for retiring President and Chief Executive Officer Barry Kroll.
Mann was most recently Senior vice president and chief development officer at the YMCA of the East Bay in Oakland, Calif., where a release said she led philanthropic and fundraising activities, business services and information technology, and supported strategic planning and operations management.
Mann had previously served on the organization's Board of Directors.
"The Madison Area YMCA Board's strong, visionary leadership and its professional staff's considerable accomplishments have combined to create exciting opportunities for the YMCA service mission," Mann said in a release. "I cannot imagine joining a finer community in which to advance the YMCA mission."

"I am honored and excited to be relocating here to work with the Board, volunteers, members, partner organizations and professional staff to more fully serve the needs of children, teens and adults."
Before beginning her career with the YMCA, Mann served as vice president of institutional advancement and operations at Children's Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, and earlier spent 13 years at Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation's largest non-profit health plans.

Mann has served on a variety of non-profit and professional association boards during her career.
"Ms. Mann's appointment concludes an exhaustive nationwide search that attracted a large field of well qualified candidates," Deanna Schwarz, YMCA Board Chair and Search Committee member, said in a release. "We are excited to work with her to continue to build on the quality programs and services we provide to the communities we serve."
"I will be working closely with Diane to ensure that she learns of all that our communities have to offer, and all the Y can do to advance its mission," said Bob Conley, vice president of operations at the Madison Area YMCA, a lifelong Madison resident and current Borough Councilman.
Mann's appointment begins on June 1, the day after Krolls' retirement takes effect.
