Madison Rotary's Annual Raffle Has Possible $20K First Prize

30th annual 50/50 supports grants to local nonprofits.

The Rotary Club of Madison has announced its 30th annual 50/50 Fundraiser is underway.

The fundraiser accounts for the majority of grants to be distributed at the club’s Charitable Distribution Luncheon in May.

There are 600 tickets to be sold at a cost of $100 per ticket, according to a club news release.

If all tickets are sold, prize money will be awarded in the following amounts:

  • First Prize:  $20,000
  • Second Prize: $5,000
  • Third Prize: $3,000
  • Fourth Prize: $1,200
  • Fifth Prize: $800

Winning tickets will be drawn Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Madison Rotary luncheon held at the YMCA.

The 2013 Grants & Sponsorship Luncheon provided more than $40,000 to dozens of local charities and non-profits. Other fundraising activities include the Rotary Family Festival, Taste of Madison, Bottle Hill Day sales of hot dogs and hamburgers, and the Community Shred-it Days
