Madison School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

MADISON, NJ — The first day of school in Madison is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Madison School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/10: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Staff In-Service)

November

• 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/19 - 11/20: Early Dismissal/Parent Teacher Conferences
• 11/21: Early Dismissal
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21: Early Dismissal
• 12/25 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/2: Classes Resume
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)
• 2/19: No School (Staff In-Service)

March

• 3/25 - 3/26: Early Dismissal/Elementary and JS Parent Teacher Conferences

April

• 4/8 - 4/12: No School (Spring Recess)
• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/28: No School (Staff In-Service)

June

• 6/21: Last Day of School
