A woman and three young children were hospitalized after a suspected gas leak in a Hackensack home, police said.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A woman and three children were hospitalized after a carbon monoxide leak from a defective boiler at a Hackensack home, authorities said.
Police found the woman in medical distress at the Atlantic Street home early Tuesday and a small fire coming from the fuel-burning appliance that appeared to have caused the leak, according to Hackensack police Capt. Michael Antista said.
The 39-year-old and children (ages 12, 9 and 6) exposed to the odorless, invisible gas are not in life-threatening condition, authorities said.
