4 Candidates Vying For 3 Mahwah School Board Seats

3-year terms are set to expire for three board members. Here is who is running for those open seats.

MAHWAH, NJ — Four candidates have filed to run for three open seats on the Mahwah Board of Education.

Incumbents — Board President Prema Moorthy and trustees Brett Coplin and John Dinice — will be joined on the ballot by Christopher Hughes, according to an unofficial candidate list published by the Bergen County Clerk.

Newly elected members for each of the three-year terms will be sworn in at the Board's reorganization meeting on Jan. 4, 2023.

Monday was the last day to file a petition to run for a school board position in the general election, which is scheduled for Nov. 8.
