Angels In Mahwah Shovel Snow For Seniors, Program Coordinator Awarded
A Mahwah High School student was recognized with a Five-Star Student Award for his development of a snow removal assistance program.

MAHWAH, NJ — A Mahwah High School senior is making sure that senior citizens who need help with snow removal receive the help they need.
Ryan Stanford developed a "Snow Angels" program during the COVID-19 pandemic that consists of students from the high school's Habitat for Humanity Club, of which he is the president.
Stanford's "exceptional leadership and desire to help others" earned him the Five-Star Student Award, presented quarterly by Bergen County Clerk John Hogan, the Clerk's office said.

Hogan and the Clerk's office was "especially impressed" that monetary donations for shoveling snow go toward Habitat for Humanity. Stanford's Snow Angels were able to raise over $500.
"Ryan continues to make a difference in his community through his hard work and dedication to helping others," the Clerk's office.

Stanford, Hogan said, was awarded for his exemplary volunteer service and finding a meaningful way to give back to the community. He received a certificate along with a $500 check from the John S. Hogan Foundation.
High school students interested in being recognized and rewarded for positive behavior are encouraged to submit an application on the Clerk's website www.bergencountyclerk.org.
