Prosecutor: Probe Into Possible Murder-Suicide Continues; Baby Survives
The husband, Michael A. Tabacchi, is one of numerous JPMorgan Chase and Co employees to have committed suicide.

Authorities say they are still investigating the murder-suicide of a Bergen County couple who left behind a 15-month-old son.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli confirmed over Twitter that two deceased individuals were found at 595 High St. in Closter Friday in a probable murder-suicide by knife.
An autopsy shows the wife, Iran Pars Tabacchi, a.k.a. Denise, 41, died from strangulation and a single stab wound to the chest, while the husband, 27-year-old Michael A. Tabacchi, died from a self-inflicted stab in the chest, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The apparent murder-suicide happened in the couple’s bedroom while their son, August, also known as Augie, was nearby in his crib, Cliffview Pilot reported. Michael’s parents found the baby and the two victims after receiving a text from Michael “asking them to come to the house.”
Michael Tabacchi is the latest JPMorgan Chase & Co employee to commit a murder-suicide, according to NJ.com. Police say former JPMorgan Chase & Co employee Julian Knott also shot his wife Alita before turning the gun on himself last July in Jefferson Township.

According to NJ.com:
When Li Junjie, a 33-year-old JPMorgan worker, jumped off the roof of the company’s Hong Kong office in February 2014, the New York Post noted that it was the third death of a JPMorgan employee in weeks. Junjie was preceded by Gabriel Magee, a vice president with JPMorgan’s corporate and investment technology arm in London, who jumped off an office tower, and Ryan Henry Crane, a New Jersey native and executive director with the company, who was found dead in his Stamford, Conn., home.
But professionals tell NJ.com that there is no evidence the cases are related since “suicides can happen in any high-stress profession and JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a large company, with 260,000 employees in 60 countries.”
Still, 15-month-old Augie, who is now in the care of his paternal grandparents, has been left without parents.
In one Facebook post from December, Augie’s mother, Denise, said, “My life is about as far from perfect as it can get, but everyday I leave a job I really like with people I really enjoy to spend the night with my gorgeous, healthy, baby boy, cat and husband...not a bad life.”
After that, she posted a photo of what she said would be her “mantra for 2015.”
