Bergen Sheriff's Officers Host Thanksgiving Dinner For Needy

Bergen County Sheriff's Office recently cooked a holiday dinner for those facing homelessness and food insecurity.

HACKENSACK, NJ - Bergen County Sheriff's Office recently partnered with First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack to host a Thanksgiving dinner for local residents facing homelessness and food insecurity.

On a recent Saturday evening, Sheriff Anthony Cureton and officers from the agency, along with their families and other volunteers pitched in to cook a holiday meal for 50 people part of the first-ever "Feed the Less Fortunate Thanksgiving Dinner" effort.

“As the holiday season approaches, it is not only a time to reflect on what we are thankful but it is also a time to give back and help those who are less fortunate. I would like to take a moment and express my deepest appreciation to the great employees of the Bergen County Sheriff Office for taking time out of their busy weekends to help us put this event together,” Cureton said.
