Firefighters Win Friendly Mutual Aid Competition

Ramsey firefighters played host to their counterparts from across the area in a friendly competition Field Day event at Adorno Fathers Sunday.

Ramsey hosted the annual Northwest Bergen County Mutual Aid Field Day. Of the 14 members towns of the association, teams from eight participated in the contest.

Events included an obstacle course, bucket brigade, and barrel competition, as well as women and children events.

The FD planned the competition for five months, and presented it as a day-long celebration, complete with a BBQ.

At the end of the event, Mahwah’s Company 4 team placed first, winning best overall, and the Allendale FD won a special award for best sportsmanship.
