An annual golf outing to provide student scholarships and fund student research will be held in September by the Ramapo College Foundation.

MAHWAH, NJ – A golf outing to provide scholarships for Ramapo College students, fund research and support campus programs will be held on Sept. 15 at the Upper Montclair Country Club by the college's foundation, spokesperson Angela Daidone said.
During the foundation's 35th annual golf outing, the Havemeyer Presidential Leadership Award — given to individuals who have significantly contributed to student life — will be presented to three members of the DeSilva family, which owns and operates Liberty Dealerships, Daidone said.
Named for Theodore Havemeyer, the first president of the U.S. Golf Association, the award will be presented to Rick DeSilva Sr., Michael DeSilva and Rick DeSilva, Jr., the college said.
