How Has Mahwah Prepared for the Snowstorm?
"Remember stay safe, stay home, and as a Township we will get through this together," Mayor Laforet said.

Mahwah Mayor Laforet has issued a statement for residents after speaking to the Governor’s office and meeting with Department officials earlier today to “discuss storm preparations and ensure we are prepared to address any storm related problems.”
Mayor Laforet has closed Town Hall Tuesday for all non-essential personnel and says police, emergency services and the Department of Public Works “will continue to work throughout the storm to provide emergency services.”

- Do not touch and downed power lines
- Be off roads by early evening Monday
- No overnight street parking in any street
- Keep vehicles off the streets for the next 48 hours
- Check on elderly neighbors
- Clear fire hydrants on your property
Mayor Laforet has also created an email address for residents to contact for “non-essential” inquiries. That email address is Storm2015@MahwahPD.org. For non-emergencies, call the police department at 201-529-1000.
