'Immersive' Intro To College Life Given To First-Year Ramapo Students
Student completion of a summer institute at Ramapo College in Mahwah could have resulted in eligibility for up to $20,000 in scholarships.
MAHWAH, NJ – For the first since 2019, incoming Ramapo College students gathered on campus for a five-week program, in which they worked alongside faculty, tutors, mentors and advisors to adjust to college life, and received an "immersive" introduction to the college experience, college spokesperson Angela Daidone said.
New Jersey Assemblywoman Linda Carter (District 22), who was a special guest to the program that ended Thursday, said her meeting with the students was a "wonderful experience."
“There is so much admiration to be held for the perseverance of our students. It was an honor to have the opportunity to meet with them," she said.
