FBI Names Bergen County Man As Suspect In U.S. Attorney's Office Vandalism
A man who had lived in Bergen County was named as a suspect in an incident at the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The FBI named a former Mahwah man on Saturday as a suspect in the vandalism of Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba's office.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi had announced on Wednesday that the Newark office of Habba, the acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, had been ransacked.
A New York Times story said a suspect tried to enter the Newark office with a baseball bat. Later, someone entered the office and damaged property.

The poster said he had ties to Mahwah and New York City.
Later Saturday, the federal government said they had him in custody.

An online record lists Lisa as politically unaffiliated and says he registered to vote in Bergen County in 2017.
Earlier this week, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said in a social media post that he was grateful to hear Habba is safe, and condemned political violence.
Habba, a former personal lawyer for Donald Trump, was appointed in March.
