Drug Bust Near School In Bergen Co., 2 Men Arrested: Police
A search in Garfield revealed illegal drugs, including heroin and cocaine, and thousands of dollars in drug sale proceeds, police said.
GARFIELD, NJ — A man stashed massive quantities of illegal drugs, including heroin and cocaine, and thousands of dollars in drug sale proceeds in his Garfield home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Zakee Murphy, 32, and Ryene Perry, 34, both from Garfield, were arrested in connection with 1,500 bags of suspected heroin, cocaine, other controlled substances, and more than $8,000 in drug sale proceeds, all found in a Friday search of Murphy's home and vehicle on Grand Street, Musella said.
Murphy and Perry were charged with second-degree possession with intent to distribute heroin; third-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, heroin, marijuana, Xanax, Adderall, and Oxycodone; and third-degree possession with intent to distribute dangerous substances within 1,000 feet of a school.

Both were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending initial court appearances.
