Mahwah HS Senior Named Presidential Scholar Candidate
Emma would like to continue her education in the field of Engineering or Applied Mathematics and continue her passion for music.

Congratulations are in order for Mahwah High School Senior Emma Corless, who was named a 2015 Presidential Scholar candidate by Principal John. P. Pascale.
Students have the opportunity to become U.S. Presidential Scholars based on two paths of accomplishment. While the majority of the Scholars are selected on the basis of broad academic achievement, approximately 20 additional students are selected on the basis of their academic and artistic scholarship in the visual arts, the performing arts, or creative writing.
Corless has attended summer academies in Engineering for Women and Forensic Chemistry at Cornell University and UMass Amherst over the past two years and her ”strong academic preparation has prepared her for the rigors of a highly competitive college environment,” according to Mahwah High School.
