Mahwah to Host District 39 Candidate Forum

Mahwah will play host to a candidates’ forum for New Jersey’s 39th Legislative District.

The League of Women Voters of Bergen County is putting on the event, happening at the Mahwah Senior Center on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

According to LWV Leader Barbara King, attendees will be able to submit questions for the two D39 state senator candidates – incumbent Republican Gerry Cardinale, of Demarest, and Democrat Jan Bidwell, of Mahwah, as well as for the four candidates running for two Assembly seats – incumbent Republican Holly Schepisi, Republican Robert Auth, and Democrats Donna Abene and Anthony Iannarelli, Jr. 

The forum is free and open to the public.

District 39 includes Mahwah and 19 other Bergen County towns, including Ramsey, Saddle River, Upper Saddle River, Oakland, Hillsdale, Washington and Westwood.
