Mahwah to Thank Veterans with Ceremony, New Monument

Ceremony is happening at 11 a.m. Monday.

Monday at 11 a.m., Mahwah residents and township officials will gather at Veterans Park at the corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Ramapo Ave. for the town’s annual Veterans Day ceremony.

This year’s event will include the official unveiling and dedication of the “Circle of Freedom” monument and speeches from residents thanking local veterans for their service.

The new “Circle of Freedom” is made up of 12 monuments, each depicting a different war.
