'Monsters U' Coming to Mahwah Big Screen

Jam, a good cause, and monsters on the big screen are just some of the things locals can look forward to at the “Community Jammin Movie Night,” happening in Mahwah next week.

The Plant Church announced this week it will be hosting its second-ever big screen movie showing next Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. at Ramapo Ridge Middle School.

Monsters, University will be on the big screen.

According to one of the event organizers, Jeremy Matthews, the theme of the evening is jam. Attendees are being asked to bring a jar of jam or jelly to donate to the Center for Food Action, and kids can wear their jammies to the event.

The big screen movie showing is free, and will have free popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy for all attendees.

“We are really hoping to get the community together to do something fun,” Matthews said.
