No. 1 Seed Earned By Ramapo Men's Soccer In Conference Championship

The Roadrunners will make their 14th tournament appearance in program history on Sunday, according to sources.

MAHWAH, NJ — Ramapo College's men's soccer team (6-6-4) was announced as one of four No. 1 seeds in this year's Eastern College Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, sources said.

By virtue of the seeding, the Roadrunners have secured a first-round bye in their 14th tournament appearance in program history, the program said on its website.

Teams are split into four pods of three, with the No. 1 seeds each receiving a first-round bye, the ECAC said.

Damian Zurawski leads the Roadrunners with a team high seven goals this season along with three assists. Mohair Nigam is second with four goals, while four players have three goals each.

Ramapo will also be one of the sites of the first two rounds, the first of which will begin on Saturday. In Pod 2 hosted by Ramapo, No. 2 New Jersey City University will play No. 3 Saint Elizabeth University at 11 a.m. Ramapo awaits the winner on Sunday at a time not yet announced.

The winners of each pod will go on to compete in the semifinal round on Nov. 19, hosted by the highest seed that advances and has opted to host. The championship will then be held on Nov. 20. All times are to be determined.
