Overnight Ramp Closures Needed For Paving Project In Bergen County
I-287 and Route 17 ramp closures are required as a pavement preservation project nears completion in Bergen County.
MAHWAH, NJ — Overnight closures on Interstate 287 northbound and Route 17 northbound that started Monday will continue for approximately five weeks, as a pavement preservation project nears completion in Bergen County, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.
The $9.8 million state-funded project will extend pavement service life, and improve safety and ride quality for motorists on approximately seven miles of I-287 in both directions between Franklin Avenue and the New York State Line. The project is anticipated to be complete by fall 2022.
Continuing 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, NJDOT's contractor Crisdel Group, is scheduled to close the I-287 northbound ramp to Route 17 southbound and the Route 17 northbound ramp to I-287 southbound for paving.
