Paramus Hospital To Hold LGBTQ Pride Event

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is hosting a Pride flag raising and resource festival at 5 p.m. tonight.

PARAMUS, NJ — Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is raising an LGBTQ Pride flag at its gazebo at 5 p.m. this evening, ahead of a resource fair that will feature services, music, refreshments, and Pride-themed giveaways, the Paramus hospital said in a news release.

"Our diversity strengthens our unity," the hospital said. "This first collaborative county Pride event brings together different resources, people, organizations, and specialties all united for one thing —celebrating and serving the LGBTQIA+ community."

Guest speakers include Deborah Visconi, hospital president and CEO; James J. Tedesco, Bergen County Executive; Tracy Zur, Bergen County Board of Commissioners chair; Deb Guston, Bergen County LGBTQ Advisory Board chair; Mark Hettinger, Elmwood Park emergency medical specialist; Anthony Torres, Bergen County LGBTQ Alliance founder; and Ray Welsh, fundraising and events manager at AIDS service organization Buddies of New Jersey.
