Pediatric Patients To Ride Therapeutic Horses In Mahwah
Patients from a Hackensack children's hospital were invited to ride and groom horses next week at an equestrian farm in Mahwah.
MAHWAH, NJ — Pediatric patients and their families will groom and ride therapeutic horses, and learn about gardening during a visit to a 13-acre equestrian farm nestled in the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains.
Patients from Hackensack Meridian Children's Health at Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital were invited to enjoy horse, garden and nature-based activities at Pony Power Therapies on Ramapo Valley Road next Tuesday.
The hospital is teaming up with the horse therapy in what has become an "annual highlight of summer," Ashley R. Calle, a spokesperson for Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation, said.
