Ramapo Track Trio Set New School Records
Three school records, and one Division III record, were broken over the weekend at The College of New Jersey Winter Open.
MAHWAH, NJ — The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team opened the season with a splash over the weekend.
Three school records were broken in the opening weekend during The College of New Jersey Winter Open, and one runner broke their own Division III record in the process.
Cheickna Traore took down his own 300m record, finishing the race in second place with a time of 34.10 seconds. The Winter Open featured both Division I and III teams.

Max Dubac set a new school record in the 600m dash with a time of 1:23.14, placing eighth overall in a field of 25 runners. Steven Fiumefreddo set a new school record in the 5k when he clocked in at 14:56.18 with a first place finish.
Jason Mercado placed third overall in the same event with a time of 15:57.30 while Nicholas DeMarco clocked in at 16:07.24 for a fifth place finish.

Ramapo will be back in action on Jan. 22 at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational, hosted at The Armory in New York City, and starting at 6 p.m.
