Salvation Army Feeds 300 On Thanksgiving In Hackensack

The Salvation Army's 9th annual Thanksgiving Breakfast was held Thursday at Eastwick College.

HACKENSACK, NJ – Volunteers cooked and served breakfast to 300 people in need on Thanksgiving morning in Hackensack.

The Salvation Army's 9th annual Thanksgiving Breakfast was held Thursday at Eastwick College, which donated its kitchen facilities for volunteers to cook the meal.

“We are happy to help the community again this year with this unique Thanksgiving meal in the morning -- as these adults and children don’t usually eat breakfast most days. Many go without,” says Gordon Sparks of The Salvation Army Hackensack Corps. “The Salvation Army is focused on helping people become self-sufficient through the numerous programs that we offer 365 days per year.”
