Super Bowl Winner Adds Autograph Stop to Mahwah Visit
Robert Kratch, a Mahwah High grad who played for the Giants and Patriots, will be back in the township to help the township prep for the Super Bowl.

A former Mahwah football player and Super Bowl-winning NY Giant has added another event to his recently announced visit to the township. According to a release from the Mahwah Museum, Robert Kratch will be stopping by the Museum on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m., to mingle with friends and fans and sign autographs.
The Museum recently announced that Kratch would be the guest speaker at an event it is hosting the following night, during which he will speak about his time playing football both in Mahwah and in the NFL.
The recently added autograph-signing session is part of a growing pre-Super Bowl celebration week the Museum is hosting in preparation for the February 2 Super Bowl happening at MetLife Stadium. Admission to the event is $5.
According to a release from the Museum, Kratch was a key player on the Mahwah High School football team coached by Ed Caporale that went to the State finals in the 1980s. He graduated MHS in 1984.
Kratch played his college football at the University of Iowa and was drafted in 1989 by the Giants where he played for five seasons, and was a part of the 1991 Super Bowl Championship team. He later played three seasons for the Patriots where he also played in the Super Bowl on the team that lost to the Green Bay Packers in 1997. He now lives and operates a business in Minnesota.
